Terms and conditions
How quotations, bookings, payment and cancellations work when you arrange electrical work with Future Trend Electrics.
Last updated: October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to electrical installation, inspection, testing, repair and maintenance work arranged with Future Trend Electrics, a sole trader ("we", "us"). We are not VAT registered, so VAT is not added to our prices.
You can contact us by phone or WhatsApp on 07908 484001 or by email at info@futuretrendelectrics.com. Our business address is given in your quotation or on request.
Visiting this website does not create a contract or a booking. If your quotation or booking confirmation says something different from these terms, the quotation or booking confirmation applies.
2. Enquiries and quotations
You can make an enquiry by phone, email or WhatsApp. The enquiry form on this website prepares a WhatsApp message on your device. It does not send or store anything itself, and your enquiry is only sent when you tap Send in WhatsApp.
After discussing the work, we will give you a quotation. It will describe the work, the price, what is and is not included, and the payment arrangements. If the quotation is only valid for a limited time, it will say so. A quotation is not a booking.
3. Bookings
Once you accept a quotation, the booking is confirmed separately, including the agreed date and any access arrangements. There is no online booking or payment on this website.
4. Additional work and existing faults
Work that is not in the quotation, or defects found while the work is being carried out, will be explained to you. Additional work is only carried out once you have agreed its scope and price.
An inspection or test does not include repairs unless the quotation says so. If a dangerous condition is found, we will explain it and what is needed to make the installation safe, which may include isolating the affected circuit, before discussing any further work.
5. Access, safety and preparation
Please provide safe access to the areas where we need to work, including the consumer unit, and tell us about any known hazards, such as asbestos, damaged structures or equipment that must stay powered. If tenants or other occupiers are involved, please make sure they know about the appointment, unless we have agreed to arrange access directly.
Much electrical work requires the power to be switched off. We will tell you in advance when the supply will be interrupted.
If you need to rearrange an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Any charge that could apply to a call-out or a missed appointment will be explained before the booking is made, and no such charge applies unless it was agreed in advance.
6. Emergency call-outs
Emergency electrical services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Attendance depends on your location and existing commitments. How an emergency call-out is charged is explained before we attend. Routine work is booked at agreed times.
7. Payment
- Payment arrangements are set out in the quotation or booking confirmation.
- Any deposit or stage payment is agreed beforehand.
- Unless another arrangement is agreed, the balance is due within seven days of the invoice.
If you have a question about an invoice, please contact us promptly so we can deal with it. This website does not take payments or ask for card details.
8. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer and the contract is agreed away from our business premises (for example at your home) or at a distance (for example by phone, email or WhatsApp), you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of the day the contract is agreed, without giving a reason. This right comes from the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
To cancel, tell us clearly by phone, email or WhatsApp. You do not have to use a particular form. If you have paid anything, we will refund it within 14 days of being told you are cancelling, less any amount you have to pay for work already carried out, as explained below.
If you ask us to start work within the 14-day period and then cancel, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the work carried out up to the time you told us. If the work is completed within the cancellation period at your request, and you acknowledged that you would lose the right to cancel once it was completed, the right to cancel ends when the work is complete.
The right to cancel does not apply where you have specifically asked us to visit to carry out urgent repairs or maintenance. If other work is agreed during that visit, beyond what is needed for the urgent repair, the right to cancel may apply to that other work.
These cancellation rights apply to consumers. They do not apply to business customers.
9. Your legal rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and goods supplied must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If you think something is not right, please tell us as soon as possible so we can look into it. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
10. Certificates, reports and making good
Inspection reports record the condition of the installation at the time of the inspection, within the extent and limitations agreed and recorded in the report. A report cannot predict how the installation will perform in future.
Where certificates or reports are issued for the work, the expected timescale is confirmed when you book. Making good, such as filling, plastering and decorating, is only included if it is stated in the quotation.
11. Responsibility for loss or damage
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
12. Questions and complaints
If you have a question or complaint, please contact us by phone or email with your name, the job address and a description of the issue. We will look into it and respond.
13. Using this website
The information on this website is general and does not replace an assessment of your installation. Links to other services, such as WhatsApp, are covered by those services' own terms. Please do not misuse the website or attempt to interfere with it.
14. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version in place when you accept a quotation applies to that work. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep any mandatory protections given by the law where you live.
